Located on the west side of the entrance to the Little River United Church of Christ. The will of WILLIAM GOODING (1857) reserved a "burying ground and one half acre around it" (Wb A2:499). The surveyed boundries measured about 35'x 550', however there are unmarked burials in the grassy area between the the gravestones and the church driveway. All but one of the 18 cut markers are clustered in the northern third of the plot (the HOWARD marker being the exception) and range from beautifully cut marble markers to fieldstone and slate. A low brick wall surrounds the graves of PETER, MARY, and ESTHER GOODING. Gooding descendants have reported that slave burials were made to the north of the family burial ground, but this has not been substantiated.
