Wickliffe/Kincheloe Family Cemetery

Wickliffe/Kincheloe Family Cemetery

13220 Yates Ford Rd.
Clifton, Va.

FX253

The cemetery is located about 200' north of the house. There is one concrete marker, into which the headstones of Revolutionary War veterans AARON WICKLIFF and MOSES WICKLIFF have been set. There are two brass plaques atop the monument that identifies it as having been placed by the DAR. No other markers are evident and tall grass hides any depressions. Kincleloe family tradition identified this as the burial place of DANIEL KINCHELOE (who worked nearby Union Mill) and his family, and that all the gravemarkers were removed by Union soldiers during the Civil War.
