 The
charter meeting of the Friends of the Pohick
Regional Library was held in March 1988. The organization
was granted 501(C)(3) status in 1998. The current officers
view the book sales not only as a way to provide revenue
for the Library, but as a service that is truly appreciated
by the community. They see their role as a partnership
with the staff of the Pohick Regional Library, Library
Administration and the community.

of the organization is to maintain an association
of persons and organizations interested in libraries
and to cooperate with the Fairfax County Public
Library in developing public library services
and facilities for the Pohick region.

Regional Library.

Sales: |

| Friends of
Pohick Library sponsor an ongoing book sale daily
during all open hours. Bi-annual book sales are
in May and November. Check

Donation Process: |
|
| Donations
of books in good condition and magazines published
within the last 12 months are appreciated. Donations
of encyclopedias or textbooks more than 10 years
old are not accepted.General
