The Richard Byrd Library opened in March 1965, replacing a storefront in Springfield. Our meeting
room has showcased many community and cultural activities. We supply patrons with tax forms, voting
materials, and community information. We offer photocopying machines, free Internet terminals,
and free technology tutoring. We welcomed 193,000 visitors last year and circulated 260,000 items.
