Great Falls GrangeBuilt in 1929 for the Great Falls chapter of the Fraternal Order of Husbandry (also known as the Grange movement), this classic public assembly hall has been the site of private and community gatherings throughout its life. The spacious naturally lit upstairs room, with hardwood floors, barrel-vaulted bead board ceiling, large windows, ceiling fans and stage have a functional elegance that is sure to please. Adding a large lower level banquet room and an enormous kitchen makes the Great Falls Grange a superb setting for a wedding or dinner party of up to 135 or cocktail reception of up to 200. The Great Falls Grange was designed to be versatile and that versatility is displayed by the ease with which it is transformed into a meeting space. The use of any of the available audio-visual or presentation equipment turns the Grange into a highly functional corporate site, for theater-style presentations or seminars of a variety of sizes. Adding the adjacent Forestville Schoolhouse turns the site into a small conference center. The surrounding Great Falls Grange Park further enhances the site's utility. The eight-acre Grange Park, sporting a picnic shelter, playground, and softball and soccer fields, is the perfect place to while away a summer afternoon at a company picnic of up to 250. Located at 9818 Georgetown Pike, the Great Falls Grange may be reached by taking Beltway Exit 44 west (Georgetown Pike, Route 193 west) for 6.2 miles to the park entrance on the right.
