The Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is looking for people who are empathic, diplomatic, and skilled communicators to become Volunteer Ombudsmen. This site provides a detailed position description (PDF file), frequently asked questions and answers (PDF file) about the volunteer program, and the volunteer application, and directions (PDF file) to the Ombudsman Program office.

Older Americans Month
Ten Ombudsman Program Volunteers and 2 staff join
Chairman Gerry Connolly for the proclamation of May as
Older Americans Month in Fairfax County, May 1, 2006.
The Ombudsman Program Volunteers were recognized for
winning the national Acts of Caring Award. Volunteer Ombudsman
Ruth Herndon holds the proclamation.
