Physical Resources
The Physical Resources Team is devoted to five major functions which support the staff and programs of the human services system. The team is responsible for:
Purchasing of all goods, supplies, and services to include office furniture and equipment, vehicles, and hardware/software for Information Technology.
Facility Management of nearly 300 human services facilities including leasing, space planning, moves, modifications, telephone set up and relocations.
Group Home Maintenance which covers exterior repairs, interior maintenance, and upkeep of the landscape on supervised living facilities for mental health, mental retardation and alcohol & drug services consumers.
Warehousing operations are responsible for ordering, receiving, storing and delivering several hundred items for various human services programs.
Bill Payments are made for facility rents and utilities, services rendered on behalf of all clients, benefits payments, food stamps, and training.
The team also administers the Fairfax County "Show Mobile" which is seen at a number of events throughout the county, such as the fair.
