AFFORDABLE DWELLING UNIT ADVISORY BOARD

Purpose:			To hear and make final determinations or grant requests for modifications concerning the application of the ordinance. The ADUAB is to review and approve the ADU prototypes and specifications which are to be used in setting sales prices and rents before they are established by the County Executive.

Terms:			4 years

Number of Seats:			9

Membership:			Nine (9) members - two (2) civil engineers and/or architects, each of whom shall be registered or certified with the relevant agency of the Commonwealth, or planners, all of whom shall have extensive experience in practice in Fairfax County; one (1) rep. of a lending institution which finances residential development in Fairfax County; one (1) rep. from Dept. of Housing and Community Development; one (1) residential builder with extensive experience in producing single family detached and attached dwelling units; one (1) residential builder with extensive experience in producing multiple family dwelling units; one (1) rep. from either the DPW&ES or DPZ; one (1) rep. of a nonprofit housing group which provides services in Fairfax County; one (1) citizen of Fairfax County; at least four members shall be employed in the private sector.
