TYSONS CORNER TRANSPORTATION AND URBAN DESIGN STUDY COORDINATING COMMITTEE

Purpose:			The committee will promote more mixed use; better facilitate transit-oriented development; enhance pedestrian connections throughout Tysons; increase the residential component of the density mix; improve the functionality of Tysons; and to provide for amenities and aesthetics in Tysons, such as public spaces, public art, parks, etc.

Number of Seats:			36

Membership:			The coordinating committee would be comprised primarily of members of Board-appointed commissions and committees including the Planning Commission, the Transportation Advisory Commission, the Environmental Quality Advisory Council and the Fairfax Area Disability Services Board. They will also represent the Providence, Hunter Mill, and Dranesville Districts, the Town of Vienna, and the County at-large. Additionally, staff from the Supervisor Districts of Providence, Hunter Mill, Dranesville and the Chairman's Office will have non-voting representation on the coordinating committee. Additional representatives added: one each for Braddock, Lee, Mason, Mount Vernon, Springfield, and Sully Districts (if desired); three each from Chamber of Commercie and TYTRAN; one each from Tysons neighborhoods on both sides of Route 123 and Westwood at Ashgrove; one additional from Dranesville and Hunter Mill Districts; one Chair representative appointed by the Chairman of Board of Supervisors; one for Vienna-Tysons Chamber of Commerce; one for McLean Chamber of Commerce; one Arts Council; one EQAC; and one for Fed. of Citizens Assoc. Financial Disclosure Statements required.
