The recessed meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. with all Members being present, with the exception of Supervisor Bulova, Supervisor Frey, Supervisor Hyland, Supervisor Kauffman, Supervisor McConnell, and Supervisor Mendelsohn, and with Chairman Hanley presiding.

Supervisor Bulova, Supervisor Hyland, and Supervisor Mendelsohn arrived at 4:15 p.m.

Supervisor McConnell arrived at 4:20 p.m.

Supervisor Kauffman arrived at 4:25 p.m.

Supervisor Frey arrived at 4:30 p.m.

Others present were William J. Leidinger, County Executive; David P. Bobzien, County Attorney; Cathy Chianese, Assistant to the County Executive; Barbara M. Jenkins, Assistant to the County Executive; Nancy Vehrs, Clerk to the Board of Supervisors, and Alyce McCarter, Office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors.

2. 4:00 P.M. - CONTINUATION OF THE PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE: PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR (FY) 1997 FISCAL PLAN (BUDGET); COUNTY'S AND SCHOOLS' PROPOSED FY 1996 THIRD QUARTER REVIEW; AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) FOR FY 1997-2001 (Tapes 1-8)

A Certificate of Publication was filed from the Editor of the Fairfax Journal showing that notice of said public hearing had been duly advertised in that Newspaper on March 22, 1996 as described:

Request For Additional Information Regarding Overtime Pay For The Police Department

Following the testimony of Mr. Purvis Dawson (Speaker 22), Chairman Hanley relinquished the Chair to Vice-Chairman Hyland and asked unanimous consent that the Board direct staff to provide information as to how much of the overtime pay for the Police Department is reimbursed by other departments. Without objection, it was so ordered.

Vice-Chairman Hyland returned the gavel to Chairman Hanley.

Request For Additional Information Regarding School Age Child Care (SACC) Cost

Following the testimony of Ms. Leslie Braunstein (Speaker 65), Representative, School Age Child Care (SACC), Supervisor Dix asked unanimous consent that the Board direct staff to provide the following information:

Without objection, it was so ordered.

The public hearing was held, with testimony being presented by 119 speakers, and scheduled for continuation on Saturday, April 13, 1996 at 10:00 a.m.
