The George Mason-Braddock District Community Forum (also referred to as "The Forum" or "GM-BDCF") provides a structure for discussion of issues, concerns, and upcoming plans, and for the resolution of challenges involving George Mason University and its neighboring communities in the Braddock District.
The Forum will begin with three informational/educational meetings
on Tuesday, September 5th, Tuesday, October 3rd, and Monday,
November 6th. The first regular meeting of The Forum is scheduled
for Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007. All meetings will be held from
7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Membership of The Forum is comprised of representatives designated by community associations in Braddock District neighborhoods that are located near George Mason University. The first three meetings of The Forum, held September 5th, October 3rd, and November 6th, are informational/educational meetings, meant to establish a common understanding regarding George Mason's plans for the campus, transportation plans for the area, and off-campus University-related issues.
Neighborhood Forum representation, at regular Forum meetings which
will commence on January 3, 2007, will be designated Braddock
District community representatives who will serve as liaisons to
their communities. MEETING AGENDAS Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - Informational/Educational Meeting #1 Tuesday, October 3, 2006 - Informational/Educational Meeting #2
