Community Communication Town Hall Links and Info
A wealth of information was shared at Supervisor Cook’s June 1 town hall meeting on Community Communication in the Digital Age. The discussions on how communities will communicate in the future, and how they can improve their communication now were fruitful and enlightening.
Supervisor Cook would like to specifically thank the following: Fairfax Memorial Park and Funeral Home, for providing refreshments; Derrick Chamlee, Kevin Joyce and Cliff Keenan for their presentation on Community Communication; Junior Achievement, for providing the venue; Jeremy Lasich, from the Office of Public Affairs; Joey Taguding, from the Department of Information Technology; Marcelo Ferreira, from the Office of Emergency Management; Grace Lynch, from the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging; Helen Ignatenko, Mary Rose Amidjaya, Larry Kneessi and Andrew Jones, all from the Fairfax County Public Library; Frederick E. Ellrod III and Carl Alan Newcomb, from the Department of Cable and Consumer Services; Rick Smyre from the Center for Communities of the Future. We have assembled the information presented during the town hall to make it available to the wider public.
