Working together with Fairfax County’s Independent Living Project,
Supervisor Cook will be hosting a free six week program of education,
yoga and home safety information for older adults. This section also

New Public Safety Headquarters to be Built
After spending years in a building with leaking pipes, broken air
condition and asbestos, the County’s police officers and firefighters
will get a new headquarters. The new HQ, which will replace the 44-year
old Massey Building, will rise up next to the Herrity Building where the
baseball field is today.
Board of Supervisors Adopts Changes to Polling
Stations
In response to changes in state legislative boundaries approved by
the General Assembly, the Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on
July 26 and adopted changes to precincts and polling stations to reduce
the number of “split precincts” and accommodate population shifts.
