Free Friday Night Concert Series Kicks Off Tomorrow

The Braddock Nights concert series begins June 27 at Royal Lake and Lake Accotink Parks

Burke, Va. – The first of the Braddock Nights summer concert series will take place Friday, June 27 from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. at both Royal Lake and Lake Accotink Parks.

"Braddock Nights is a local tradition and I’m glad it’s back again this summer," said Supervisor Cook. "Everyone should come out and enjoy great music in our beautiful parks. We have something for everyone."

This series of free musical performances held throughout the summer presents a wide array of performances from classical to bluegrass and everything in between. The atmosphere is informal and you’re encouraged to bring a picnic dinner, blankets and lawn chairs and relax with friends and family to celebrate the end of the workweek.

Concerts may be canceled if it’s raining. If there is a threat of bad weather, call (703) 324-7469 one hour prior to the start of the show for cancellation updates. These parks are not lighted. For a safe exit after dark, please bring a flashlight.

A list of the performances can be found on Supervisor Cook’s website. For more information or to volunteer, please call (703) 425-9300.
