Cable Channel 16

Channel 16, the Fairfax County Government Channel, provides news and information to the citizens of Fairfax County through award-winning programming. Now in its 20th year, Channel 16 has won close to 200 national awards for quality informational programming including 13 Cable ACE Awards and three Overall Excellence Awards.

Cable Regulation

The county regulates the non-exclusive cable television franchises with Cox Communications, Inc. and Comcast Communications, Inc. through enforcement of the franchise agreements, inspection of the facilities, and attention to citizen concerns.
