Watch Health Watch: Community Immunity

photo of studio set

Each year on average, five to twenty percent of the Fairfax County population gets sick with the flu. The result is lost time from work and school, and a visit to the doctor. While most people fully recover, many others are hospitalized and unfortunately in some cases, illness from the flu results in death. Tune in to Dr. Gloria Addo-Ayensu, Director of the Fairfax County Health Department as she separates facts from fiction regarding flu vaccines, and shows how everyone benefits when the vast majority of the community gets a flu vaccine.
