Where to Buy Boxes in Fairfax County: Boxes currently sell for $50 to $60 in Fairfax County at Best Buy, BJ’s, CVS, K&O Satellite, K-Mart, Micro Center, MyerEmco, Office Depot, Radio Shack, Rite Aid, Sam’s Club, Sears, Shoppers Food Warehouse, Target, and Wal-Mart. It is advisable to call in advance to determine if the store has converter boxes in stock.
On-Line Purchase of Converter Boxes: Coupons may also be used to purchase converter boxes over the Internet. Shipping charges may apply.
Contents of a Converter Box Package: A converter box package includes the converter box itself, a round RF coaxial cable, a remote control, and printed instructions. Some converter boxes also include a red-white-yellow composite A/V cable and batteries. Check the converter box packaging for completeness before leaving the retailer or throwing away a delivery receipt. Keep the purchase receipt in case the converter box is defective and needs to be exchanged for one that works properly.
