Consolidated Community Funding Pool Fiscal Years 2009 - 2010

The FY 2009-2010 Request for Proposal (RFP) was released on October 1, 2007. The RFP was issued to solicit applications for eligible programs and services offered by community and faith-based organizations, the City of Fairfax and the Towns of Clifton, Herndon and Vienna.

Approved CCFP Funding Priorities for FY 2009 - 2010

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the funding pool priorities for Fiscal Years FY 2009 - 2010 on July 9, 2007. The approved priorities recommended by the Consolidated Community Funding Advisory Committee include target funding percentage ranges for each priority area.

Public Notices

On Monday, March 31, 2008, at 4:00pm, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the Proposed Consolidated Plan One-Year Action Plan for FY09. The public hearing will take place in the Board Room of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia.

Fiscal Year 2008 CCFP Award Approved

On April 30, 2007, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved $10,734,603 for Fiscal Year 2008 Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP) awards. The awards support 115 human service projects operated by 71 non-profit organizations. Projects will begin July 1, 2007. The awards are for the second year of the funding cycle which ends June 30, 2008.

CCFP Funding Sources

Funding in the CCFP is available from a combination of local, state and federal sources:

  • Federal and State Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) (approximately 6% of the total funds)
  • Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) (approximately 22% of the total funds)
  • Fairfax County General Fund (approximately 72% of the total funds)
FY 2008 Consolidated Plan One-Year Action Plan Approved

On April 30, 2007, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the Proposed Consolidated Plan One-Year Action Plan for FY 2008. The One-Year Annual Action Plan for FY 2008 describes the proposed amounts and uses of funding through the County's four Federal programs; Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG). An estimated $9.0 million in Federal funds is available in FY 2008 to provide decent housing, establish and maintain a suitable living environment and expand economic opportunities, especially for low and moderate-income persons. The One-Year Action Plan also includes the Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP) awards of $10.8 million which include $2.0 million of CDBG funds and $8.8 of local and state funds.
