At Union Mill SACC children have the opportunity to
connect with real animals and learn how to care for them.
Union Mill SACC adopted 2 rabbits (one from the Fairfax County
Animal Shelter and one from a family in the community), and a
hamster all of which joined the animals already in their Nature
Center including a hamster, a frog, 4 fish and a snail. The
children really enjoy including the rabbits when they play board
games. The children and families have also enjoyed the weekend
program which gives families the opportunity to take the animals
home for the weekend.
