FAIRFAX CONNECTOR BUS STOP LIGHTING PILOT PROJECT

Fairfax County will be installing 10 - Carmanah i-Stop ® Solar-Powered LED Illuminated Transit-Stops at bus stops County-wide to address bus stop security, bus stop safety and solicit public comment.

Lighting at the bus stops is an important amenity and enhances the security and safety at transit bus stops. The stops for the Lighting Project were picked by consultation with County staff, bus operators and recommendations for lighting made by the Bus Stop Inventory and Safety Study.

* Two stops will be located at Mount Vernon Memorial Highway and Mount Vernon Rd on opposing sides of the street.
