Fairfax County Seeks Comments on Plans for Improved Bus Services

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation is finalizing a 10-year comprehensive Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the county’s bus system. The draft final plan will be presented at public meetings throughout Fairfax County on Oct. 15 and 17, Nov. 4, 5, 9, 10, 16 and 17.
The TDP is a study designed to blend, coordinate, and optimize existing Metrobus and Fairfax Connector services and recommend service and policy enhancements and/or adjustments to more effectively and efficiently meet the public transportation needs of Fairfax County. In light of changing county demographics and land use, the TDP has evaluated existing bus service and created a plan that ensures that limited resources are utilized in the best way possible.
Members of the public, current bus passengers and county residents are encouraged to attend the meetings. There will be presentations, maps, charts and personnel working on the project available to take public comments and answer questions. The dates, times, and locations of the eight meetings are:
