Two Fairfax Connector Routes to Temporarily Detour Due to Dulles Rail Construction

Fairfax Connector Routes 505 and 950 will detour to East Falls Church Metrorail Station for three consecutive weekends due to the split in the Orange Line between East and West Falls Church Metrorail Stations for Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project construction. There will be no service between East and West Falls Church Metrorail Stations on the following weekends:
- May 29 - 31
- June 5 - 6
- June 12 - 13
Fairfax Connector’s Wolf Trap Express will continue to operate from the West Falls Church Metrorail Station. At the conclusion of each performance, the Wolf Trap Express will operate a modified inbound service from the Wolf Trap Filene Center direct to East Falls Church Metrorail Station. An additional bus will operate from the Wolf Trap Filene Center to the West Falls Church Metrorail Station for passengers traveling westbound on the Orange Line. Rail service between East and West Falls Church Metrorail Stations will resume during the week. Metro will be operating free shuttle buses between the East and West Falls Church Metrorail Stations during these weekends. Customers should expect delays and should add an extra 30 minutes into their travel plans if they need to pass through the work zone.
