SmarTrip Card Issue Relating to 7 Day Regional Bus Passes

SmarTrip patrons are currently experiencing system-wide issues with 7 Day Regional Bus Passes on SmarTrip cards. Since a software update, some SmarTrip card readers are rendering 7 Day Regional Bus Passes invalid. Metro is aware of the issue and is working to correct the problem.
Fairfax Connector passengers who purchase their 7 Day Regional Bus Passes at Connector Stores will be issued a receipt of purchase to present to bus operators as proof of purchase in the event of card failure. In addition to supplying the passenger with a receipt for the purchase of a 7 Day Regional Bus Passes, Connector Store agents will also print out a receipt of the non-working SmarTrip card showing the 7 Day Regional Bus Passes that is already loaded on the card.
