Applications are made in person at -
Fairfax County Regulation and Licensing Branch

Hours of Operation
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Applicants may be required to:
  • be fingerprinted
  • be photographed
  • provide a driving record
  • provide personal information under oath
    The Regulation and Licensing Branch issues licenses for:
  • peddlers
  • solicitors
  • promoters
  • canvassers
  • pawnbrokers
  • precious metals and gems dealers
  • massage establishments and therapists
  • going out of business
  • taxicab drivers
    The Branch also:
  • issues registrations for towing companies engaged in trespass towing
  • regulates the operation of taxicabs within Fairfax County
  • issues operator certificates for taxicabs
  • provides staff support to the Trespass Towing Advisory Board
