Licenses, Permits, and Registrations
Fairfax County's Department of Cable and Consumer Services' Regulation and Licensing Branch (RALB) regulates and issues licenses, permits, or accepts registrations in the following business areas:
- Massage therapists and establishments
- Solicitors, Canvassers, Peddlers, Promoters
- Precious Metals and Gems dealers
- Pawnbrokers
- Taxicab driver and operators (taxicab survey)
- Charitable organiizations
- Going out of business
- Trespass towers

Hours of Operation - 8 AM to 4:30 PM. - Applications are not accepted after 4 PM
The Regulation and Licensing Branch also:
- Provides staff support to the Trespass Towing Advisory Board
- Encourages code complaince and mediates complaints
- Provides community outreach and education to county agencies and the general public.
