Description |
Many forest pests in the region have no natural enemies and aggressively feed on native trees which can cause widespread defoliation, a weakened forest ecosystems and catastrophic economic damage. In addition, there are approximately 30 different kinds of mosquitoes in Fairfax County which can affect the health of humans with their ability to transmit diseases.
The Fairfax County Health Department is in charge of mosquito abatement and control. |
