Civil Term Day Schedule
Civil Term day is normally held at 10:00 a.m. on the fourth Monday of every odd month (January, March, May, July, September and November).
Interim Civil Term day is normally held at 10:00 a.m. on the fourth Monday of every even month (February, April, June, August, October and December).
- In the event that Monday is a holiday, Term Day is held on Tuesday.
- In the event that a mandatory judicial conference is being held (usually May and September), contact the Clerk's Office for actual Term Day dates.
Most civil action cases, including domestic cases, are handled through the Court's differentiated case tracking program. Trial dates are set at a scheduling conference.
Counsel desiring to set a trial date for matters other than those in the differentiated case tracking program, should file and serve a Term Day Praecipe placing the case on the Term Day docket for setting of a trial date; or if all counsel agree, they can call Circuit Court Chambers at (703) 246-2221 and select an available trial date.
