Fairfax County Judicial Center (Jennings Building)

The Fairfax County Judicial Center (Jennings Building) located at 4110 Chain Bridge Road is undergoing a major expansion and renovation. As a result, vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be significantly impacted in the vicinity. For citizens conducting business in the Jennings Building, specifically those with scheduled court appearances, the Fairfax County Office of the Sheriff is requesting that you adjust your schedule to ensure your timely appearance for court.

By planning to arrive prior to 9:00 a.m., citizens can expect to minimize their wait in lines to enter the parking garage and the security screening at the entrance to the Judicial Center.

Parking

A public parking garage exists at the Public Safety Center at a rate of 50 cents per half hour. Please follow the signs to Parking Garage “B” coming from Judicial Drive or West Street. Parking Map


South - (Occoquan, Woodbridge, Dale City)

  • take I- 95 NORTH
  • Exit 160B toward OCCOQUAN/LAKE RIDGE (Route 123 North)
  • go approximately 14 miles into the City of Fairfax
  • turn left on Judicial Drive
  • follow Judicial to Page Avenue
  • turn right on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the left.
  • Judicial Center is a 5 level building diagonally across Page Avenue from the garage.

    (OR)

  • take I- 95 NORTH or Rt. 1 NORTH to 495 SOUTH
  • take Rt. 236, Little River Turnpike, WEST (exit 6W)
  • go 4.4 miles into the City of Fairfax
  • continue straight down Main Street through Old Town Fairfax
  • cross Rt. 123, at next light turn left onto West Street at entrance of Public Safety Complex
  • turn right on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the left.
  • Judicial center is a 5-level building diagonally across Page avenue from the garage.

West - (Manassas, Gainesville)

  • take I- 66 EAST to Rt. 50 EAST
  • after the 3rd traffic light stay in the right lanes and Rt. 50 runs into Rt. 236. Continue straight through the 4th traffic light onto Rt 236. (Office Depot and Washington Sports Club will be on the right)
  • go through 4 more lights and make a right at the 5th light onto Judicial Drive (light just past Fairfax Nursing Home)
  • take a left on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the left.
  • Judicial Center is a 5-level building diagonally across Page Avenue from the garage.

    (OR)

  • take Rt. 29 EAST, to intersection of Rt. 50/29/236
  • take a right on Rt. 236 (Office Depot and Washington Sports Club will be on right)
  • go through 4 more lights and make a right at the 5th light onto Judicial Drive (light just past Fairfax Nursing Home)
  • take a left on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the left.
  • Judicial Center is 5-level building diagonally across Page Avenue from the garage.

 


North - (Leesburg)

  • take Greenway Toll Road to Rt. 28, SOUTH
  • take Rt. 28 south to Rt. 50 EAST (approx. 10 miles to Fairfax City)
  • stay in the right lane in Fairfax City and Rt. 50 runs into Rt. 236. Stay in the right two lanes and continue straight onto Rt 236. (Office Depot and Washington Sports Club will be on the right)
  • go through 4 more lights and make a right at the 5th light onto Judicial Drive (light just past Fairfax Nursing Home)
  • take a left on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the left.
  • Judicial Center is a 5-level building diagonally across Page Avenue from the garage.

 


East - (Arlington, Falls Church)

  • take I- 66 WEST to Fairfax-Vienna exit (Rt. 123, Exit 60)
  • take the exit towards Fairfax (Rt. 123 South)
  • go to third light and turn right onto North Street
  • get into the left hand lane and go to the light
  • cross Main Street onto West Street
  • make a right on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the right.
  • Judicial Center is a 5-level building diagonally across Page Avenue from the garage.

 


From Maryland
  • take 495 SOUTH to I- 66 WEST
  • from I- 66 take the Fairfax-Vienna exit (Rt. 123, Exit 60)
  • take the Fairfax portion of the exit (bear left) heading SOUTH on Rt. 123
  • go to the third light and turn right onto North Street
  • get into the left hand lane and go to the light on Main Street
  • cross Main Street onto West Street
  • make a right on Page Avenue to Parking Garage B on the right.
  • Judicial Center is a 5-level building diagonally across Page Avenue from the garage.

By Metro

  • take the ORANGE line to Vienna Metro Station
  • exit to the left at the top of the stairs (to the northern side of the station)
  • take the Fairfax City CUE Bus (Gold,#1 is most direct) to the Fairfax County Judicial Center
    • CUE Bus fare is 50 cents, exact fare required
    • CUE Bus runs from 5:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
    • Gold CUE Bus #1 picks up at Vienna Metro beginning at 6:03 a.m., then every 30 minutes. The ride to the Judicial Center is approximately 20-30 minutes. To ensure timely arrival for 9:30 a.m. court sessions, take the Gold CUE Bus #1 from Vienna at
      7:32 a.m., 8:01 a.m., or 8:31 a.m.

Security

An airport-style security system is located at all public entrances to the Judicial Center to screen for weapons and other prohibited items. Under certain circumstances, you may also be subject to a personal search. Cameras and other prohibited items (pocket knives, scissors, mace, etc.) will be confiscated and returned to you when you exit the building. Cell phones with cameras will also be confiscated and should be left in your car, to expedite your entry into the building if possible.
