Juvenile Detention Center Mail

Mail Policy

Your child is entitled to mail two letters per week at the Juvenile Detention Center's expense. You may provide him/her with additional stamps if you wish.

All incoming mail must be received from the U.S. Postal Service, i.e. - hand delivered mail or pictures will not be given directly to residents.

Telephone Policy

Residents are allowed four telephone calls per week. Two may be to parents/guardians and two must be professional (attorney/probation counselor). All calls are dialed by the staff. Youths are awarded points for appropriate behavior each day. When a youth has enough points to earn Level III, one additional telephone call per week may be requested. This extra telephone call is to an immediate family member. Parents may not call their children except in an emergency. Please contact an administrator, if serious need arises, to speak to your child.
