Circuit Court
The Office of Adult Probation and Parole assists the Circuit Court by providing comprehensive criminal and social history investigative reports (Presentence Reports) that are used by judges in making sentencing decisions.
Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court
When the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court places a juvenile on probation, the court refers the case to one of the court's four Probation Services Units operated by the Court Services Unit. The Code of Virginia requires all Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts provide probation services.
