Sign up now for a Youth Mental Health First Aid class!

A special session of CSB’s popular Youth Mental Health First Aid class is being offered in May. Sign up now to secure your slot – these classes fill up quickly! The 8-hour certification course is designed for adult family members, caregivers, school staff and other adults who work with young people ages 12-25. It is also appropriate as a peer support program for older adolescents (over age 16). Participants learn about unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents and how to help a young person who is in crisis or experiencing a challenge related to mental health or substance use. The May course is offered in two half-day sessions on May 15 and 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Pennino Building in Fairfax. Cost is only $25.
