Employment Status Without Health Insurance

The 2000 Fairfax-Falls Church Community Assessment revealed that 8.2 percent
of the County's household residents did not have health insurance coverage.
This compares to the national rate of 14 percent.

Nearly two-thirds of Fairfax County adults, age 25 or older, without
health insurance are working at full or part time jobs.

Children under age 18 comprise over a fifth of those without
health insurance coverage in Fairfax County.
