New Korean Language Phone Line Provides Information and Assistance
for Seniors and Families in Fairfax County

On September 5, the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging and local Korean community organizations will launch a telephone assistance program for Korean-speaking seniors and families who need information about services for seniors. Monolingual Koreans can call 703-324-3543 and leave their questions about services for seniors offered in Fairfax County, such as transportation, housing, home delivered meals, senior centers, and in-home services. A Korean-speaking volunteer will return the call in the evening or weekend with information about the services.

The goal of this program is to enhance access to services for Korean older adults living in Fairfax County. By providing assistance in the Korean language, the program seeks to enable independence and enhance quality of life among Korean older adults, their caregivers, and adults with disabilities.

The Korean Language Information and Assistance Partnership program is made available by the Korean Central Senior Center, the Korean Community Service Center, SeniorNavigator, and the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging.
