Fairfax County will host the 2007 Mega Job Fair and Entrepreneurship
Expo — “Envision Your Success” — on Saturday, March 17, 2007, from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center located at 12000
Government Center Parkway in Fairfax.
The event is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. No

Fairfax County's Department of Family Services, the SkillSource Group,
Inc., the Center for Business Planning and Development, the Northern
Virginia Workforce Investment Board, the Business Development
Assistance Group, and employers throughout the region have joined
forces to present this unique event.
Over 2,000 jobseekers and prospective entrepreneurs are expected and about 50 major employers including Cox Communications, Cavalier Services, Inova Health System, Wegmans, JetBlue Airways, Gannett Offset, Loan to Learn, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and the Northern Virginia Training Center. Employers from various industry sectors will be participating, offering a wide range of career opportunities.
Gerald Connolly, Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, will be a keynote speaker. Viola O. Baskerville, Secretary of Administration for the Commonwealth of Virginia, will be a special guest.
Participants can attend job search skills workshops as well as informal one-on-one meetings with private and public sector recruiters. Resources for entrepreneurs will also be available, plus opportunities to meet with purchasing staff from Northern Virginia Community College and other state agencies to learn about procedures and opportunities for selling products and services to state agencies.
Thousands of new jobs were created in Fairfax County last year, according to the county's Economic Development Authority and strong economic growth is predicted for the future.
