Bilingual (Korean/English) volunteers are needed for the Korean Senior Information Line, a volunteer-based program for Korean seniors in Fairfax County. Volunteers will be trained to offer assistance to Korean-speaking older adults who need resources and services.
The Korean Senior Information Line was launched in September 2006 by
the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging in partnership with the Korean
Community Services Center of Greater Washington and the Korean Central
Senior Center. Volunteers are required to participate in a training on
the public and private services available for seniors and persons with
disabilities. Familiarity with the Internet is also needed. Ongoing
training and support will be provided.
