Volunteer Solutions' Director Ruth Reagan thanks volunteers who assist older adults in Fairfax County at a reception following the Board of Supervisors’ Older Americans Month proclamation on May 1, 2012.  The proclamation endorses the nationwide Older Americans Month theme – Never too old to play and thanks older volunteers for their service, particularly those who volunteer for programs of the Department of Family Services, Health Department and Neighborhood and Community Services.

Attending the volunteer recognition ceremony following the Board of Supervisors’ Older Americans Month proclamation on May 1, 2012 are Tuyetsuong (Sue) Le, volunteer coordinator for the Annandale Vietnamese Meals on Wheels and staff with the county’s Public Works and Environmental Services; Kim-Nhung Nguyen, volunteer for the Vietnamese Senior Information Line; Mai Bui, volunteer for the Vietnamese Senior Information Line and the Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program; and Khanh Phan, staff for the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging. The proclamation thanks volunteers and endorses the nationwide Older Americans Month theme – Never too old to play.
