The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has tasked the Small Business Commission (SBC), supported by the Department of Purchasing and Supply Management, to operate and manage a Vendor Comments Board.
The Vendor Comments Board serves county vendors who seek answers not readily available to the general community.
The Vendor Comments Board welcomes your suggestions, questions and comments. Please send a message to sbcfairfax@gmail.com detailing your suggestion, question and/or comments to streamline/improve the County procurement process or generally facilitate the growth of business in Fairfax County. Your message will be addressed promptly and you will receive an acknowledgement with information on how the SBC will proceed or has handled your inquiry, after the SBC contacts the appropriate agency (ies). Your confidentiality will be maintained.
MissionThe Vendor Comments Board will give county vendors an independent forum to provide suggestions on how Fairfax County can improve its procedures for buying goods and services or seek answers not readily available to the general community. |

The Committee employs all means possible to accomplish its mission through various efforts that include: |

Operates as a clearing house for the suggestions, comments, or concerns of vendors to Fairfax County. |
The Vendor Comments Board will work to further its relationship with various community resources to enhance awareness of the SBC and its mission. |

Reports back to Small Business Commission, or Ombuds Committee, as appropriate, on suggestions/needs identified which will facilitate the procurement process for businesses and Fairfax County. The SBC brings the vetted comments to the attention of the Board of Supervisors. |
All activities will be consistent with the Small Business Commission's efforts to encourage the creation and growth of small, minority- and women-owned businesses, and those owned by disabled persons in Fairfax County. |

Assists the other Small Business Commission committees identify areas which need more attention: dissemination of information, public awareness, etc. |
