Request for Qualifications - Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Professional Services Basic Ordering Agreement

  • Scope - The County of Fairfax, Virginia, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services is soliciting for statements of qualifications from architectural/engineering (A/E) firms to provide professional engineering services for feasibility studies, special design studies, special services, and for design and construction administration of various capital facility projects under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA).

Facility types include, but are not limited to, the following: administrative offices, courthouses, fire stations, police stations, libraries, community and recreational facilities, human services residential facilities and clinics, garages, vehicle maintenance facilities, public works facilities, etc.

Design duties include, but are not limited to, the following: value engineering team member and peer reviews and shall have a full service consultant team including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, value engineering, independent cost estimating, HVAC commissioning, and special inspections/testing.

Request for Qualifications - Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Professional Services two Shelter Facilities

  • Scope - The County of Fairfax, Virginia, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services is soliciting statements of qualifications from consulting A/E firms for design and construction administration services for two Shelter Facilities, the Eleanor Kennedy Shelter, located at 9155 Richmond Highway, Fort Belvoir, Mount Vernon District, Virginia, and the Patrick Henry Shelter, located at 3080 Patrick Henry Drive in Falls Church, Mason District, Virginia. The scope of work includes renovation of existing or new facility for the Eleanor Kennedy Shelter and demolition of the existing and replacement with a new facility for the Patrick Henry Shelter. New facilities projects, will have a goal of silver certification under the LEED Green Building program. Major disciplines required for these projects include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical/plumbing engineering, HVAC peer review and third party commissioning, LEED team member, value engineering, cost estimator, and interior design.
