Important News and Information

Building Construction:

The collaboration, planning, and communication of the McConnell Public Safety and Transportation Operations Center (MPSTOC) partners continue, and have resulted in a project that is 88% complete, on schedule, and within budget.
PSTOC Facility:
- The building and the two story connector to the Forensics building are closed in, heated and lighted with the permanent fixtures.
- All interior work is progressing on schedule.
- Procurement and installation of 94 consoles for the communications center has been added to the project.
- Interior walls are complete and painting in progress.
- Ceiling grids and lighting fixtures are nearing completion.
- Terrazzo flooring is finished and carpet has been installed in the offices on the perimeter of the building.
- Equipment installation including the elevator, fuel oil tanks and kitchen equipment is nearing completion.
- Ceramic tile is complete and plumbing fixtures have been installed.
- Seismic bracing of overhead piping and racks is nearing completion.
- The major electrical components, panels, and conduits are in place.
- The monopole for antennas has been erected.
- Cable pulling and termination continues.
- Installation of parking lot lighting is in progress.
- Sections of the concrete anti-ram perimeter wall, outdoor decorative concrete, final site grading, paving and planting will resume when the weather permits.
Forensics Facility:
- The building is heated and all interior work is on schedule.
- Interior walls are complete.
- Overhead ductwork, piping, and electrical tray and conduit are nearing completion.
- Ceiling grids and lighting are being installed.
- Installation of laboratory casework, equipment, and flooring is in progress.
- Work on the enclosed service yard and vehicle storage area is nearly complete.
