Building Construction:
-
The collaboration, planning, and communication of the McConnell
Public Safety and Transportation Operations Center (MPSTOC)
partners continue, and have resulted in a project that is 99%
complete, on schedule, and within budget. The PSTOC building,
along with the Forensics building, is scheduled to be complete at
the end of July.

PSTOC Facility:
-
The building and the landscaping around the building are
nearing completion.
-
The site work at the entrances and planting of the pond along
West Ox Rd will be completed in July.
-
The 94 consoles for the communications center which were
added to the project have been installed.
-
Final plumbing and electrical inspections are in progress.
-
Testing of the fire alarm and security systems is in
progress.
-
Audio visual, information systems, and communications
equipment is being installed by the Fairfax County
contractors.
-
Completion check lists for office areas have been made and
check lists for common areas and equipment rooms are in
progress.
-
Systems furniture has been installed on both levels. The
consoles in the command center are installed and a completion
list is in progress.

The first permanent power feed was energized in November.
-
The second power transformer and auto transfer switch have
been energized.
-
Training on the electrical switchgear is in progress.
-
The building temperature is being controlled by the HVAC
system.
Forensics Facility:
-
Interior finishes, ceiling tiles, and carpeting are in
progress.
-
Resilient and epoxy flooring have been completed.
-
Installation of millwork, laboratory fixtures, and equipment
is complete.
-
Interior finishes are on schedule for completion in July.

Ceiling close in is in progress.

Systems furniture has been installed and completion checks
made.
