Building Construction:

The collaboration, planning, and communication of the McConnell Public Safety and Transportation Operations Center (MPSTOC) partners continue, and have resulted in a project that is 100% complete, on schedule, and under budget. The PSTOC building, along with the Forensics building, reached substantial completion on July 31, 2008.
PSTOC Facility:
- The Occupancy Permit for the McConnell PSTOC Building and the Forensic Facility was obtained ahead of schedule on July 30, 2008.
- A Notice-of-Substantial Completion was issued to the General Contractor on July 31, 2008.
- The General Contractor is currently completing punch lists and working on warranty items.
- Commissioning of the HVAC system with summer trend data is in progress.
- The 94 consoles for the communications center which were added to the project have been completed.
- Audio visual, information systems, and communications equipment is being installed by the Fairfax County contractors.
- Systems furniture installation has been completed in all areas.
- Testing by the utility will be completed in early September.
- Several agencies have moved into the building which is being managed by the Building General Manager and maintained by FMD.
Forensics Facility:
- The General Contractor is currently completing the punch-list items.
- Systems furniture has been installed.
- Modifications needed for the computer room have been completed.
- Some Police Department personnel have moved into the building.
