Kane Creek, High Point and Giles Run are all classified as Watershed Protection Areas. Most of the High Point watershed is already protected by parkland, and further study is needed to assess the usefulness of the region as a source of potential reference streams. Kane Creek represents the best available regional conditions and was used as a source of reference characteristics for all Coastal Plain sites; as such, the watershed deserves the highest level of protection.
