Commercial and Residential Inspections May Be Delayed Due to Blizzard

Fairfax County building inspectors for both commercial and residential construction are out in the field today, Jan. 21, 2016, performing regularly scheduled inspections. However, due to the impending snow storm, tomorrow and Monday’s deployment of field staff will be dependent on road conditions and county operating status.

If we recall field staff for safety reasons or if the county closes, affected inspections will be held until the next business day that inspectors can be safely deployed.  If your inspection is held over, you are not required to reschedule it, and you will be given priority status when inspectors return to the field.

Please understand that the safety of our staff is our priority, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

For information, call the Building Division of Department of Public Works and Environmental Services at 703-631-5101, TTY 711. To schedule an inspection, visit fairfaxcounty.gov/fido.
