Permit Application Center will be CLOSED to the public on Friday, March 17, 2006

In order to implement a new permitting system, new and existing permits, plan reviews, inspections and cashier transactions will NOT be processed on March 17, 2006 while we prepare our current data for transfer to the new system.  Other unavailable services  include our automated telephone and online systems.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience — but this temporary customer service interruption will allow us to enhance the services we provide you.

Regular customer service will resume on Monday, March 20, 2006 when our new system goes online.  The Fairfax Inspections Database Online, FIDO, when fully implemented, will be a vast improvement over our existing permitting system. FIDO will enable county staff to process permits faster and more efficiently, and FIDO online will offer customers a variety of new and exciting services.  See what information FIDO can fetch for you by visiting www.fairfaxcounty.gov/fido on Monday, March 20, 2006.
