2006 Land Conservation Awards

As part of our continuing efforts to recognize outstanding achievements in protecting our natural resources, we are pleased to invite nominations for the Land Conservation Awards. As in prior years, nominations are solicited for Tree Preservation and Planting as well as Erosion and Sediment Control. Any individual, firm, or an organization that has observed superior efforts of a developer, designer, site superintendent, contractor or a property owner and believes that such efforts are worthy of recognition may submit a nomination.

To be eligible for a Tree Preservation and Planting Award, the project must be complete and the bond and conservation deposit released at the time of nomination. Please fill out the nomination form and send to the Urban Forest Management Division, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Herrity Building, Suite 517 by October 13, 2006. Please note that there are separate nomination forms for tree preservation and tree planting.

To be eligible for a Land Conservation Award, nomination forms should cite points of excellence that form the basis for the request or recommendation. You may attach additional documents or photographs. Please fill out the nomination form and send to the Environmental and Facilities and Inspections Division, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Herrity Building, Suite 334 by October 13, 2006, Projects nominated and judged in the spring will not be subjected to another field evaluation. Overall winners will be selected from entrees in both nomination periods.

Nomination forms are listed below. The forms are also available for pick up at the Plan and Document Control Counter, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Herrity Building, 5th floor.
