Public Facilities Manual Amendments - Testing Guidelines for Infiltration Facilities

Soil testing and reporting procedures, originally published in Technical Bulletin 10-04, Testing Guidelines for Infiltration Facilities, were adopted into Chapter 4, Geotechnical Guidelines, of the Public Facilities Manual (PFM) by the Board of Supervisors on March 19, 2013. The PFM amendments became effective at 12:01 a.m. on March 20, 2013.

Related amendments were adopted into PFM Chapter 6, Storm Drainage. Minor editorial amendments to Chapters 2 and 7 were also adopted.

The Location & Design Guidelines for Infiltration Facilities (formerly called Testing Guidelines for Infiltration Facilities) has been updated and now include only the siting requirements for infiltration facilities. Letter to Industry #10-04 is no longer available.

Questions regarding these amendments should be directed to Site Code Research & Development at 703-324-1780, TTY 711.

Questions regarding infiltration testing and report preparation should be directed to a geotechnical or stormwater engineer in the Site Development & Inspections Division at 703-324-1720, TTY 711.
