Reminder of When Minor Site Plans Apply
There has been some confusion recently as to what qualifies for submission as a minor site plan. Therefore, this notice is to serve as a reminder and to clarify when a minor site plan may be submitted in lieu of a site plan.
A minor site plan may be submitted in lieu of a full site plan only if the project meets the conditions enumerated in § 17-105.1 of Chapter 112 of the Fairfax County Code. A minor site plan shall not be submitted for projects that include bonded items or public improvements as defined in § 17-201. Any project that requires bonded improvements, including but not limited to road improvements, trails, sidewalks, waterlines, sanitary sewer, or publicly maintained stormwater management facilities, must be processed as a full site plan or Public Improvement Plan.
