Notify Tenants About Recycling
Property owners or managers are required to educate their tenants about the onsite recycling system. Notices must be provided upon intial occupancy and at least once a year thereafter.
Contents of Notices
Educational materials distributed to tenants must include the following information:
- participation is mandatory
- a list of materials to be recycled
- the program start date
- instructions on how to prepare materials
- contaminants to avoid
- location of recycling containers
- a collection schedule
- contact information if they have questions
