Bikes for the World Collection Dates
Bikes for the World collects repairable bicycles in the United States for donation to charities overseas. These bicycles are then distributed to people in need of affordable transportation.
Note: $10/bike donation is suggested to defray shipping to overseas charity partners. A receipt is provided for all material and cash donations. Bikes for the World is a sponsored project of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. Collections will take place rain or shine. - Sunday, June 28, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Reston Town Center Grand Prix, Bikes for the World collection located under the Pavilion, Reston Town Center, Reston, VA 20190. Call 703-525-0931.
- Sunday, July 19, 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m., Herndon Friends Meeting, 660 Spring Street, Herndon, VA 20171.
Bicycles may also be dropped off with a suggested $10 per bike donation for Bikes for the World at selected bicycle retailers:

Please identify your bike so that confirmation and a receipt for tax purposes can be mailed to you.
