The Huntington and Arlington Terrace neighborhoods of Fairfax County experienced significant flooding from Cameron Run in June 2006. Fairfax County contracted with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to determine specific causes of the flooding and provide flood protection options, as detailed in its January 2007 flood investigation report. Subsequently, community meetings were held to provide information regarding the project and to receive community input. Additional information is also available in the September 2007 Huntington Flood Damage Reduction Project Newsletter (PDF).
