Free Mulch

Loading Mulch

The Division of Solid Waste Disposal and Resource Recovery operates a brush grinding operation which manufactures double-shredded wood mulch. The mulch is FREE, clean, and of good quality. The double-shredded mulch is distributed to various distribution sites around the county.

Leaf mulch also is available at the sites listed below on a seasonal basis, usually November through March.

In the event you do not have access to a pickup truck or trailer, the following companies may be obtained through a private contract. Payment arrangements for the hauling of mulch are strictly between the company and resident.

The Citizens' Recycling and Disposal Facility have mulch loaders for citizens to utilize. These loaders eliminate manually loading your pickup truck.

The Division of Solid Waste Disposal and Resource Recovery does not endorse any hauler. Again, the mulch is FREE when picked up at one of the distribution sites!!
